Simpson CC5 1/4-8PC Column Cap for 5-1/8″ Beam, 8X Post – Black Powder Coat, Made to Order Non-Returnable

Simpson Strong-Tie CC column caps provide a high-capacity connection for column-beam combinations. This design requires the correct corresponding machine bolts to be installed for proper installation. The Strong-Tie CC5 1/4-8PC post base features a Black Powder Coat for added corrosion resistance.

Installation:

• Use all specified fasteners.
• Bolt holes shall be a minimum of 1/32″ to a maximum of 1/16″ larger than the bolt diameter (per 2005 NDS, section 11.1.2).
• Contact engineered wood manufacturers for connections that are not through the wide face.

Options:

• Straps may be rotated 90 where W1 is greater than or equal to W2 (see illustration) and for CC5 1/4-6.
• For special, custom, or rough cut lumber sizes, provide dimensions. An optional W2 dimension may be specified. (The W2 dimension on straps rotated 90 is limited by the W1 dimension.)
