• 2-1/2″ wood screws for door hinges.
• These screws are longer than what normally comes with the hinge, which are generally in the 1.25″ range.
• Long wood screws are designed to reach the framing material behind the jamb, which gives better holding power for wide or heavy doors.
• No 9s generally fit 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ hinges, while #12s generally fit 4×4 hinges.
• Head diameter #9 is 3/8″.
• Head diameter #12 is 7/16″.

Note: The brushed nickel finish is a brighter finish that most brushed nickels. We have searched the market for screws with a true satin nickel finish but have not been able to find any. These screws are acceptable for use with satin finishes as the visible part of the screw is very small relative to the size of the hinge.
